A team that stays after launch
We started in 2018 because too many good projects were handed over to somebody who had never seen the code. Twenty-four people later, that is still the thing we are built around.
Why we do both halves
The usual arrangement splits a system in two. An agency builds it, a managed service provider runs it, and the client sits between them translating. When something is slow, each side has a plausible reason it belongs to the other.
We took the split out. The engineers who design a system carry the pager for it. That changes decisions early: nobody here chooses a clever pattern they would hate to debug on a Sunday, and nobody skips the logging because logging is not a feature.
It also means you have one number to call. Whether the problem is a bug, a slow query, an expired certificate, or a laptop that will not join the network, it lands with the same team.

Full-stack and mobile engineers. Everyone here has shipped something they then had to support, which changes how people write code.

Cloud, networking, and the on-call rota. They review every architecture before it gets built, not after it breaks.

- We quote a defined piece of work and absorb our own estimation errors. Changes get their own quote.

- The engineers who build it are the engineers who run it. Nothing gets thrown over a wall.
- We say no
- If a project needs a specialism we do not have, or a deadline we cannot meet honestly, we will tell you in the first conversation rather than the third month.
